UNFORGETABLE EXPERIENCE


In 2004, when in the third grade, my friend who has come from Jakarta, Umi Faridha had unforgettable experience. In that time, she went to Taiwan to compare education between Indonesia and Taiwan. I think she is a smart girl because only fifty five students in her school went to Taiwan, and she was one of them. They went to Taiwan with their teachers and their television crews from their school.
Before became an ambassador from her school, Umi should do training for three months. In the training, she got new knowledge about Taiwan’s culture. After three months, her teacher chose her becoming an ambassador because based on the training and value in her report, she is one of the best students in English.
She stayed in Taiwan for ten days. So, she got many great experiences there. One of them was she met Angel. Angel has been student of Taiwan. She is a loyal and friendly girl, so Umi felt happily when she was talking with her. Umi also studied Mandarin language from Angel. So, she got new knowledge about it.
In Taiwan, Umi also visited Taipei, Hwal Yen, and a temple. At that temple she tried to use Buddhist monk shoes. It made from wood. She was very happy because she could use it well.
In there, Umi liked to go by train from one place to another place, because she could see beautiful view from the train which acrossed mountain and sea. So, she was very amazed.
In the last day, Umi showed Yapong Dance to introduce Indonesian beautiful culture. She danced very well, and many people there liked it. After that, in that morning, she felt so sad because she had to go back to Jakarta and said good bye to Angel, her new best friend in Taiwan. But she felt proudly because she could become an ambassador of her school to introduce Indonesian culture in Taiwan.
