Title : First Time in IELL 1
At that moment, I did some activities in the class, began from introducing my new friend in front of the class, taking an action to be a dentist and asking about personal information of my IELL lecturer, Mz. Kun Herrini. I was glad and cheerful to do those activities, because I wanted to perform all of my abilities.
I got some new friends and I could know more one another. My lecturer ordered us to make pairs for each. Then, I moved and found Marry as my partner. I gave the first chance for her to ask about myself. Some questions were given to me and sometimes she noted the information according to my speaking. Suddenly my lecturer said, “Stop, the conversations have been enough!” Oh my God, I was regretful, because I had not more chance to ask about her orally. But, I was still confident. Then, I went ahead and shared information about her, like her name and her job before she entered in Sampoerna School of Education (SSE).
No long time after the activity above, my lecturer ordered us to relate with other friend beside of us. I related with Beby, a woman who sat beside me. We had an exercise to be a dentist and the patient. Then, we decided that I become a dentist and she becomes a patient. We went ahead and acted rightly. In my honesty, that activity was very challenging.
The last, my lecturer gave several times for us to ask about her. Then, I raised my hand and spoke up. I began my first question, “Where do you live?” I had a mistake when I spoke the spelling of “live.” I was shy. But, she understood about my question. Then I asked again about the differentiation of American and Indonesian educations, because she often worked in American embassy and I thought she knew more about American education. Then I asked again about her unique experience. Exactly, I want to know more about her and I hope she will share her best experience too, so that I get better future. Amen…
